Andrews & George Brand Design

Background /

Andrews & George, a sister brand of Ecotrend, is a well-respected and recognized importer of international products and was looking for a redesign of their brand.

Challenge /

With over 100 years of business, Andrews & George is one of Vancouver’s oldest companies. A traditional company with established values, Andrews & George are also using modern practices and constantly considering the future. How do we create a new, contemporary brand without losing the history and authenticity that is such a important part of the company?

Solution /

Competitive research informed a direction that would set Andrews & George apart from the group. We chose to use a decades-old monogram found on an invitation as the basis for the brand. Using deep luxurious colours, we selected a colour palette that feels elegant and sophisticated, while our choice of contemporary typefaces keeps the brandmark current. The combination of all the elements forms a brandmark that successfully connects the past to the future.
